Zespół POTTY UMBRELLA powstał w 2003r i stworzyli go muzycy
wcześniej grający w zespołach SOMETHING LIKE ELVIS i TISSURA ANI.
Przez pierwsze dwa lata kształtował się charakter tworzonej muzyki
jak i skład zespołu.

POTTY UMBRELLA – aktywny psycho-trans, odsłona
koncertowa.
Od momentu wydania ostaniej płyty „FORTE FURIOSO“, czyli od
kwietnia 2007r, zespół koncertował głównie poza granicami kraju,
odwiedzając Niemcy, Holandie, Irlandie i Anglie. Najbliższe koncerty
są
kontynuacja trasy promującej ostatnie wydawnictwo.
Muzycznie to w
przeważającej ilośći utwory z ostatniej płyty oraz
kilka starszych
kompozycji w nowym sosie aranżacyjnym oraz zupełnie
nowe, nigdzie wcześniej
nieprezentowane i nigdzie niezarejestrowane
pomysły. Będzie to duża porcja
energetycznego grania, w zalewie
psychodelicznego transu, okraszona
elementami elektrojazzu.
Zespół POTTY UMBRELLA powstał w 2003r i

Debiutancka płyta „ALL YOU KNOW IS
WRONG“ ukazała się w 2005r.
Nispełna rok później zespół wydał kolejną płyte
„FORTE
FURIOSO“, nakładem własnego wydawnictwa WET MUSIC
RECORDS.
Niemal od razu po premierze płyty powstała muzyka do
słuchowiska
„Akropolis!“ wg Stanisława Wyspiańskiego, w adaptacji Pawła
Łysaka, które było transmitowane na żywo z Teatru Polskiego w
Bydgoszcz, przez Radio PiK.
Zespół POTTY UMBRELLA ma na swoim koncie
wspólne koncerty z
zespołami ACID MOTHER TEMPLE & THE COSMIC INFERNO
oraz
NOMEANSNO.

POTTY
UMBRELLA
Shortly after publishing our album called “All You Know Is
Wrong”
in 2006, we started to prepare new songs for new album. During one
year Potty Umbrella composed, recorded and published “Forte
Furioso”,
the second album, which is hard to describe. In comparison
to the last
publishing, the music is more stylishly diversed and what
is more, totally
instrumental. We call it ActivePsychoTrans enriched
with Elecrto Jazz. The
title “Forte Furioso” fully gives the
spirit of this music and our
emotional state while working on it.
Another significant fact of this
venture is that from the beginning
to the end the record was produced by
the band and published in our
own label WET MUSIC RECORDS.
Just few
weeks after we had finished recording the album, our band
played few gigs
in Poland, Germany and Netherlands with NoMeansNo.
They were videotaped for
TV programme “Beyond control” by TVP
KULTURA.
On 18th of May, we
made and performed music for radio play
‘Akropolis!’ by Stanisław
Wyspiański, directed by Paweł Łysak
and broadcasted from Polish Theatre in
Bydgoszcz by the PIK Radio.
The band arose in 2003 and is made by
musicians from Something Like
Elvis and Tissura Ani. Our first album ‘All
You Know Is Wrong’ was
recorded in various places like Bydgoszcz, Szubin,
London, Swarzędz;
during spring, summer, autumn and winter… While listening
to that
music, you can fell many emotions and feelings, which occurred at
that time in our life: the phenomenon of birth, love, happiness but
also break ups, hate and loneliness. However, the desire to create
the
music was the most important.
Despite of lapse of time, this music is
still fresh, even wet. The
inability of pigeonholing our music style
unambiguously makes it
untypical. We won’t stop looking for new music and
sound solutions,
even if we found out, that all we would know is wrong.
